You can add the multifactor token of your University of Technology Graz student account to the Studo Authenticator. If you do so, you don't have to enter your 6-digit code manually each time you open the Studo app.

Step-by-Step Guide

Using only your smartphone

  1. Follow the steps 1-6

  2. Take a screenshot of the displayed QR code

  3. Open the Studo app, open the side menu and select "Authenticator"

  4. Click on the plus (bottom right) and select "Read QR code from image"

  5. Select the screenshot of the QR code you just took

  6. You should now see a new 6-digit code listed in the Studo Authenticator.

  7. Use this code to complete steps 10-11 on https://mfa.tugraz.at/next/gesamt.shtm.

It is important to complete these steps to verify your token. Otherwise your just created code will not work!

Forgot to verify your token?

If you forgot to do the last step and have not verified your token, you can do so in the privacyIDEA userinterface.

  1. Open https://privacyidea.tugraz.at/ and login using your username and a valid token.

You should see a list of all your created tokens. If there is one token in the list where the "Rollout Status" is not enrolled (but, e.g. verify), then this token cannot be used yet.

  2. Click on the serial number of the token.

  3. Enter the currently displayed code from the Studo-Authenticator in the verify input field and click on the verify button.

You have successfully verified your token when the "Rollout Status" is enrolled now. In that case, it can now also be used for login.

If you experience any issues when creating or verifying a token, please contact the IT support of the TU Graz. You can find the contact details here: https://www.tugraz.at/en/tu-graz/organisational-structure/service-departments-and-staff-units/central-information-technology
